I'm interested in studying the Bible in its original languages (Greek and Hebrew) as well as finding ways to draw the Church back to loving people more than programs and grace more than empty legalism.  I'm currently working as a freelancing legal secretary as well as copy editor and part-time blogger, and enjoy fighting passionately for a Church that loves God and others without regard to race, sex, or political party.  My latest mantra has become, "I am woman, hear me type..." :)

I’m an introverted observer with far more questions than answers. I process my thoughts through writing and enjoy pondering the personal philosophies which drive people’s day to day lives. I have a bachelor’s degree in theology and am a published hymn-writer. My secret life-goal is to eventually have one of my country song texts recorded by a mainstream artist. I love Jesus in spite of his followers, not because of them, and I believe that faith is truly the only thing that will ever be counted to me as righteousness.

Having experienced the healing grace of God after years of being trapped in legalism, I’m passionate to see others come to the cross and find freedom from deadly performance mentality. I like poetry, chocolate, and tea with friends. One day, I hope to leave the rat race of American culture and become a shepherdess in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the Basque Country, at which time I will sever myself from all internet access. Until then, you can read my scribbles here and at Peri De  or on my personal blog.

I am an introvert who loves sitting in the sun, drinking coffee, and thinking deeply. My greatest passion is to teach others all that the Word says and point them to the liberty of following Christ. I attempt to fill my life with beautiful things: long walks in the park, snuggling by a fire, planting flowers, great architecture, and traveling to new places. I currently reside in St. Louis and am excited to share my life and perspective with my inner city students. I want to stay and preach the gospel with my words and my actions declaring His sufficiency and the power of his grace over the darkness. But hopefully I will get to live at least a few years in Holland among the tulips.
